Mrs. Texas United States® 2006 is…

Jennifer Hayden

Jennifer Hayden, who competed as Mrs. DFW in the Texas state pageant on April 30th in Frisco, has been chosen as the next Texas beauty to vie for the Mrs. United States® 2006 crown in Las Vegas at the end of July. Jennifer, 28, has been married to Jaz for the last 3 years and has a 2 year-old daughter, Sealey Dawn. Jennifer, a graduate of the Southeastern Oklahoma State University with a degree in Broadcast Communications,  has worked in local cable media advertising sales in the Dallas market for the last 4 years and has volunteered for local organizations such as American Women in Radio & Television and local youth hockey . She also keeps in shape by taking weekly adult jazz, hip-hop, and tap dance classes.

With her husband working as a youth hockey coach for the last several years, Jennifer has seen the numerous benefits of extra-curricular activities for young people, which has compelled her to create a platform to encourage young people to get involved in community activities and volunteerism at a young age. She believes having life balance is important at any age, and learning the importance of giving back to one’s community at an early age can be very rewarding and inspiring to others, as well.

There were 15 contestants from all over the state. They and their husbands were treated to an “Evening in Old Italy” at a local working winery, had a wine tasting & Italian dinner, & were serenaded by a strolling Italian musician.

This was Jennifer’s first attempt at competing in a competition for married women. She previously was a contestant in the Miss Arkansas (America) pageant.
